Plain-language summary of what we collect and why. We keep it short because there is not much of it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and your name (if you give it). We store your password only as a one-way hash, never in a form we can read.
- Purchases: what you bought, when, and the amount, plus the Stripe customer and payment references. Stripe collects and keeps your card details and billing address. We never see your card number.
- Reading progress: your quiz answers, Final Assessment state and your place in a manual, saved to your account so they follow you between devices. We do not look at individual answers; they are used only to give them back to you.
- Sign-in records: when you signed in, the kind of browser used and a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address, so we can limit how many devices share one login and spot abuse.
- Support messages: what you write to us and our replies.
Cookies and tracking
We set one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your information. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the site.
Who handles it for us
- Stripe processes payments and sends receipts.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the manuals, and keeps routine server logs.
- Resend delivers our emails (setup links, receipts notices and support replies).
Why we use it
To sell and deliver what you bought, keep your account secure, answer your questions, send the emails you need (setup, password reset, purchase and support), and meet legal and tax duties. We email you about your account and purchases. We do not send marketing email.
How long we keep it
Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists and as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Sign-in records are removed when sessions expire. Ask us to delete your account and we will, apart from records we must keep by law.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at support@urwrench.com. You can change your name and password in Settings.
Safety of your data
Connections are encrypted. Passwords are hashed. Access to the manuals requires a signed-in account with the right license. No system is perfect, and if something that affects your data goes wrong we will tell you.
